TomatoBank Recognized for Community-Based Efforts

Alhambra, CA – TomatoBank, N.A. was honored at the 2007 Business-to-Community Connections Awards held on July 27th at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.  TomatoBank was presented with commendations from Connect LA and the State of California for its outstanding community-based contributions.

The event, hosted by Connect LA and the State of California, recognized 14 outstanding collaborative partnerships between small to medium sized businesses and community-based organizations.  TomatoBank was honored for its outstanding partnership with the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce (LAJCC).

The mission of the LAJCC is to enrich the lives of young professionals in the greater Los Angeles area and to develop strong corporate, civic and nonprofit leaders through professional growth, leadership development, personal enrichment and community involvement.  The mission of the LAJCC Charity Foundation is to provide opportunities and resources that create a positive influence in the greater Los Angeles area by empowering individuals to become responsible, contributing members of their communities.
