Online Financial Literacy Workshop

TomatoBank believes everyone, young and old, should receive some form of financial education. This financial literacy allows everyone to better manage their money and improve their standard of living. TomatoBank offers this Online Financial Literacy Workshop to help you understand the types of consumer services offered by banks and how to best utilize them.

This Online Financial Literacy Workshop includes:

Basic Banking services

· What is a bank? With whom should I speak at the bank?

· What are the benefits of keeping my money at the bank?

· Two basic types of deposit accounts: checking and savings

· The process to open a personal account: ID and account verification

· Additional bank services that can be accessed by a deposit account customer: direct deposit, ATM, debit card, online banking, telephone banking and wire transfers

Everyday Banking: The Checking Account

· What type of checking account would be best for me?

· Fees for a checking account

· Writing Checks and filling out deposit slips

· How to use an ATM
